A better way to market Real Estate

There is a big shift happening in marketing Real Estate, we are excited to be right on the edge of the evolution.

Video is a more enriched way to view properties for sale. Especially video done to professional quality, streaming in crystal clear High Definition. As recently as last year this type of premium presentation may have been reserved for the super elite of homes. However we are making this type of creative presentation available for as many of our listings as possible.

The gift of a challenging market is needing to take a good hard look at what we can do to really stand out. Video really has the powerful effect of capturing an online audience and allows us to very effectively communicate the message of the homes that we have for sale. If given the choice an online browser will choose to watch a video over reading text or even browsing pictures if given the opportunity.

Knowing this it is natural for us to ask ourselves, “How can we take advantage of this media for the benefit of our clients?”

Today we are one of a small handful of agents that are representing properties in this truly remarkable way. I have no doubt that this type of presentation will be demanded by consumers in the very near future. I am pleased that we are leaders in this evolution.

Here is our most recent.

We are always looking for ways to improve the advantages that we extend to our clients. I have shared often the challenges we have in obtaining FEEDBACK from showings. Yet that will not stop us from pursuing new ways to achieve our goals and serve our clients better. I feel very strongly that one of the most important things that we do as a Real Estate team is create a platform and use a megaphone to broadcast a message. For our sellers it is trusting that the home that is being listed is given a great representation and that the representation is easy to find. For buyers it is seeking relevant information from active professionals in the industry.

Yesterday I purchased “Apple TV” from the Apple store. It costs about $150 with a proper connection cable. It was extremly simple to install and links to our home wireless internet signal. In my home we do not watch much televison but our lap tops are our key link to the world. I upload movies from iTunes and generally YouTube is the source of my video media browsing experirence. (My staple is watching Ted Talks )
With this one time start up cost of connecting my new Apple TV all these search engines and modern media sources are streamed direct to my TV and are super easy to browse.

What I was extra excited about was to see www.RamageGroup.TV on a big screen. Both on the YouTube Channel and more recently to a Podcast. Both are easy to find and watch on Apple TV. I personally feel that these shifts in consumers media consumptions represents a radical diversion in the way people aquire information and seek entertainment.

There is no doubt in an ocean of content it could be easy to be lost in a sea of distractions. Yet I firmly believe that quality always rises to the top. As long as our focus is on creating quality content we can know that it is being the given the opportunity to be discovered. To todays date our YouTube Channel has had over 6700 views.

Building such a platform and a megaphone does not happen overnight yet with a steady commitment and seeking constant improvement I am glad the we are leaders in our industry, using the tools of technology to the advantage of our clients.

Feedback: Buyers agents more cautious about sharing what a buyer thinks.

We have a procedure seeking feedback from agents who have shown our listings. It is a challenge getting a reply to the question “what did the buyer think of the home”(etc.) Meanwhile buyers agents need to give consideration to their clients and if they reveal too much of what a buyer thinks they may be doing a disservice to their clients.





Promoting an Open House

A really big shift in the type of traffic that arrives at open homes has happened as a result of internet advertising. Take full advantage of the mechanics of the MLS auto email notification system, it is a great way to direct email any possible buyers. If you are considering a price adjustment an open house promo may be just the right touch to generate the activity on a home for sale.
