Flower Power

Lucas Ramage | May 31, 2011

Tip: Take a picture of your yard and garden when it is showing its best. When the grass is green, when the flowers are in bloom and the leaves are out. Keep it simple and utilitarian without pets, parents or friends in the image so that if you are listing your home for sale in the winter you have something that could be used to show your exterior when it showing its best!
This video is listed in front of our newest listing at 2516 16 ST NW. For information on this Capitol Hill property click here.

Some thoughts on home staging

Lucas Ramage | January 30, 2011

We are often asked our opinion on having a home staged professionally for the purpose of creating a sale. We love showing properties that exhibit beautiful art, decor and furnishings. When a buyer resonates with the style of the items exhibited in a home and can be helpful way to create an attraction to the property. Vacant properties can be warmed with furniture, plus furnishings can assist in describing the function and flow of certain spaces. We often view vacant properties as a clean slate and an open canvas for buyers to imagine themselves in.  Home staging can be costly and it is not always our first recommendation. It may be one aspect in helping to produce a sale but must be used in conjunction with right pricing in the context of the market. Answering the question if home staging is right for assisting in selling properties needs to be addressed on a home per home basis. www.ramagegroup.tv

What “to do” before selling

Lucas Ramage | January 25, 2011

As we meet with people who are preparing to sell their homes we are often asked “what should we do to prepare to sell”? We like to suggest that “less is more”, keeping the priority on cleaning and removing clutter goes a long way. Getting deep in to renovations is never our first suggestion. For a detailed review of your home specifically we would be pleased to meet with you to offer our opinions and ideas. www.theramagegroup.com or www.ramagegroup.tv for all of your Calgary Real Estate needs.
